Ellen's Little Announcement.

Back in February, my husband and I found out a little secret. We were pregnant! We kept the secret (which was very hard) from everyone except our doctor. We did spill to our friends at The Rye Studio so we could get some family photos taken.

At the end of March, we invited our parent's to dinner on a Sunday night where we gave our mom's each a gift...

The presents contained this picture...

My mother's response was, "Oh, I thought you were going to tell me you were pregnant!". When she saw I was crying, she realized that we weren't getting another dog but were actually pregnant.

We then made our parent's keep our secret for a few days before we told our brother's and their wives. Finally, at our mustache birthday party, we made the announcement to friends by leaving the sonogram on the refrigerator.

Overall, we are extremely excited and can't wait to see how wild this child will be! We are hoping for a happy pregnancy and a healthy baby.

To answer your immediate questions:

• How far along are you? I am 15-to-16 weeks pregnant.
• Are you going to find out the gender? Yes, that is the one requirement made by Brian. We will find out in late May.
• Have you heard the heartbeat or had a sonogram? Yes and yes. Both were amazing experiences.
• When's your due date? It's between October 15 to October 24. The official date is October 24.

We do want to thank The Rye Studio for the amazing photos we had taken. It was such a great way to celebrate our news. 

Finally, we knew we had to get a present for the baby while we were in New Orleans, so we got this picture to hang in the nursery.
