Have you tried coconut oil? It's all the rage and I have been using it for a while now. I love it! There are so many uses for it and it's cheap. I purchase mine from Trader Joe's and keep a jar in the kitchen and one in the bathroom.
I have used coconut oil in the following ways:
- Moisturizer for dry skin
- Lip balm
- Add in for cooking and baking
- Shaving cream
- Hair treatment
- Eye makeup remover
- Massage oil
- Diaper rash treatment (even used on cloth diapers)
- Different types of nursing ailments (increase supply, nipple treatment)
- Increase metabolism
- Acne treatment
- Tanning oil

I love the Trader Joe's coconut oil! I use it a lot in no-bake desserts, in making ganache and like you mentioned, in vegetables.
